Rim, Back Brace, Go-Bar Deck, and Obon!!!

I have kind of a hodge-podge of stuff to show you from the last three days.

Saturday morning I first carved that top back brace:







Then I did the final sanding of the rim in the radius dishes:

Later, I went to the annual Obon festival in San Jose with my mother and sister. Here's a really short video (taken with my digital camera, not my camcorder — it's so short because I didn't quite know what I was doing and whether it was working or not!) of a portion of the Taiko performance:







Here's a photo of another performance; I was trying to catch the two drummers in mid-air, and I succeeded!!
