I have fretted the 24.9" scale length fingerboard, and here I have clamped it to get some of the backbow out (this always happens after I fret the board).

 

Here I have marked the end of the neck blank (at the 14th fret position).

I've drilled the 1/2" hole nearly all the way through the heel, for the dowel (this is to provide something for the two threaded inserts to bite into later, after I have determined the neck angle).

Here I have routed the truss rod slot for the Stew-Mac Hot Rod. The slot is 7/32" wide and 7/16" deep.

To do this, I used my truss rod slotting jig. This is what it looks like as I'm using it.
