What's Left To Do???
The guitar is getting there, and I was starting to feel a little
"scatter-brained" about the remaining steps. To clear
my mind, and to make sure I do the remaining tasks in the best
order, I sat down yesterday and made up a "checklist"
of all the tasks left to do. Then I arranged and rearranged the
list, until I had them in the most logical order. Now I feel a
lot better and more focused.
Here's the things I still need to do to finish the guitar:

- ___ Dots in fingerboard
- ___ Fingerboard side dots
- ___ Measure/cut end of fingerboard
- ___ Press frets in fingerboard
- ___ File/bevel/crown frets
- ___ Straighten fingerboard
- ___ Horse inlay - cut
- ___ Horse inlay - scribe in peghead
- ___ Horse inlay - rout cavities
- ___ Horse inlay - fit and glue w/epoxy
- ___ Horse inlay - sand
- ___ Horse inlay -fill any gaps
- ___ Inlay strips in bridge
- ___ Drill hole for endpin
- ___ Heelcap (ebony & laminate)
- ___ Neck angle
- ___ Cove out heel
- ___ Put threaded inserts in heel (superglue)
- ___ Bolt neck on/re-check neck angle (then remove neck from
body)
- ___ Install truss rod
- ___ Glue on fingerboard
- ___ Bolt neck on/re-check neck angle (then remove neck from
body)
- ___ Shape neckshaft/refine heel
- ___ Finishing: sanding (and round corners)
- ___ Finishing: grain-raising & sanding
- ___ Finishing: (neck only) aniline dye neck
- ___ Finishing: sealing
- ___ Finishing: fill pores
- ___ Finishing: finish coats

- ___ Bolt on the neck/glue fingerboard extension

- ___ BUY: guitar case/long shaft 1/8" hex wrench
