Planning:

My template for the cutaway classical. I used some scrap hardboard for this template.

Bracing plan for the classical, based on several different bracing designs found in various books.

I bought two dyed veneer sheets (1/32" thick) to use for purflings, rosette rings, and peghead veneers.

Various ideas I have for the ebony binding/purfling combinations.

The Mold:

Mold, made of two 3/4" MDF boards, separated by scrap pine 2" spacer blocks.

These bolts and wingnuts allow me to separate the two mold halves, yet still have nice flat end surfaces for clamping.
