DUST COLLECTING . . . .
Well, I wasn't quite finished with the shed . . . .
I had earlier bought this Fein vacuum (it's really quiet and
has quite good suction power). Rather than having to lug it around
the shop to each power tool, whenever I needed to use it (and
that's kind of a hassle in such a small area!), I decided to
go with this kind of "mini" dust collection system.
I got it from Woodcraft.
It consists of clear 2-1/2" PVC piping with blast gates.
The piping runs around the room, near the floor. I have each
tool connected to the piping with 2-1/2" clear hosing. So,
now, whenever I need to use a tool, I just turn on my shop vacuum
and open the blast gate for that particular tool. In such a small
shop, with its 126 cfm, the Fein vacuum provides plenty of suction
for my needs.
