THE WIRING :

I am totally new to electric guitars; the electronics of it has been a total adventure! This was the first time I have ever really soldered anything.

While I was waiting for coats of finish to dry, I began wiring up the pickguard. I am using Stew-Mac's "Golden Age" single-coil pickups in this Strat. After much research on the web and help from several Internet friends, I was finally able to figure out how to go about putting this thing together.

To the right was my first attempt. As you can see, at that point I didn't know that I didn't need all those wires to be that long. So....I took out the soldering iron again and re-did the wiring.

Below is the better result. Oh, yeah....before I did any of the wiring, I glued some heavy aluminum foil to the underside of the pickguard for shielding purposes.

The photo in the lower right-hand corner was taken after I'd finished spraying the body, while it was curing. I just wanted to see if it all fit and how it will later look....
