On to Seattle!!!

Sunday, July 24th, 2011:

Left Tacoma around 1:30 p.m. and travelled to a Lynnwood Holiday Inn Express, just a few miles north of Seattle, where I planned to spend Monday and Tuesday. That evening, ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory, which was right next door to the Holiday Inn.

Monday, July 25th, 2011:

Went on the Argosy Harbor Cruise, which took about an hour, making its cruise around Elliott Bay. Lots of interesting sights and information!

This photo is of a neat fountain, right next to the Argosy departure building:

Here's a sight of the Seattle skyline, taken from the cruise boat (it was kind of an overcast day):

After I got back from the cruise, I had intended to visit SAM, the Seattle Art Museum (I had loved it when I was here in 2004), but, unfortunately, it was closed Monday and Tuesday!!!! Rats!!!

Since I had this time, then, I decided to ride the monorail from the downtown area to the Seattle Center; this took only a couple of minutes. Then I went up the Space Needle and took a bunch of photos:

Finally, a kind of weird photo of me, supposedly in front of Seattle's skyline, but really taken inside the Space Needle (provided free with admission to the Space Needle):
