IT'S FINISHED!!!! And, I'm pleased to say, it really looks and sounds GOOD!!!!

It's 11:00 p.m. right now, I'm really tired, and so all I'm going to do is post a bunch of really quick photos I just took of the finished product.

I spent the day on this --- leveling and dressing the frets, installing the tuners, slotting and shaping the nut, making the two little saddles for the "split saddle", then determining and adjusting the saddle height.

That last part is what took me the longest. The books said that I should have about 1/32" space between the string bottom and the first fret, and 5/32" at the 12th fret. I initially had 7/32" space there, so I followed some other directions that said you should lower the saddle by double that space difference. I did that, and ended up with some buzzing. I should have just taken off a portion of that, just to play safe. SO. . .I ended up having to make an entirely new saddle (or, rather, saddles!). ANYWAY, I finally got it right, strung it up, and it sounds great!!! Crisp and clear. I really like the Aquila Nyl-Gut strings I put on this one.

Enough writing for now. . . .I'm going to bed.
