I've never had an easy time cutting the 15° neck scarf joint. I would use a hand saw to cut the joint, but then I would have to spend quite a bit of time cleaning it up with a sander, plane, and scraper. So, when my Internet friend, Peter Licis, sent me the plan and these photos of a jig he made, for use with the table saw, I jumped at the chance to try it out! It took me about 3-1/2 hours to make the jig, I tried it out, and it worked just GREAT!!!! It's almost ready to glue up right off the saw!!!! Thank you, Peter!!!! I asked him if it would be okay for me to post his photos and the plan, and he graciously allowed me to. So....here it is!! Try it out --- you won't be sorry you did! |
