These two photos are of a Size 5 (21.3"
scale) rosewood guitar, for a customer whose name in Chinese
means "horse." |

The pine trees stand for my name, which
means "bottom of the pine tree" in Japanese. |

Here are some photos of the two
guitars I made this summer, for my very first customers. The
three photos above are of a rosewood/Englemann spruce dreadnought,
with abalone purfling, and an abalone-inlaid peghead. The customer
wanted a rose (he lives in an area called the Rosegarden) and
a bird (he has birdhouses in his garden), so I attempted my very
first elaborate abalone inlay. |
